Rockstar Games recently aired the first TV commercial for GTA VI, but the absence of the Xbox logo in the ad has led to misconceptions among some players regarding platform exclusivity. The game will still launch on Xbox Series X|S, with a release date planned for November 19.
This commercial mainly reuses footage from the previous release trailer, but removes the shower scene, extends the airplane shot, and includes the scene of Jason and Lucia sitting on the car hood. Compared to these editing adjustments, the absence of the Xbox logo has drawn more attention from players.
ComicBook attributes this situation to an undisclosed clause in a PlayStation marketing partnership. The cooperation amount has not been disclosed, and the estimated cost range is merely speculative and should not be considered official information. The trailer on Rockstar's official YouTube page also only provides a link to the PlayStation Store, without listing an Xbox Store link, leading some Xbox players to worry that ordinary consumers might mistakenly believe the game is a PS5 exclusive.
Previously released demos were all from the PS5 version, but this does not mean there are issues with the Xbox version. The XSX version may perform similarly to the PS5 version, while the actual performance of the XSS version remains to be verified through more demos or after the game's release.
