Filming for Netflix's series "Wednesday" Season 3 has wrapped, but no official release date has been announced yet. Lead actress Jenna Ortega stated that after completing "Wednesday," she may take a break from television to make room for films and other new projects.
Ortega discussed her future career choices on Josh Horowitz's podcast "Happy, Sad, Confused." She mentioned that she hasn't engaged in many discussions about film franchises or series, believing that the right projects will come along naturally.
She explained that she has been moving between different TV shows since childhood and now wants to make time for new endeavors. Her reference to "after Wednesday" may simply refer to the period following the completion of Season 3's filming, rather than implying the entire series is coming to an end.
Ortega has not announced her departure from "Wednesday," and Netflix has not confirmed that Season 3 will be the final season. While outsiders have speculated, based on filming completion, that Season 3 might premiere around mid-2027, this timeline is not an official release date.
