CD Projekt Red released the Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 on October 22, 2026. The console version number is 2.500.100, and the PS5 download size is nearly 11GB. This free update adds a crossover side quest, dual-wielding gameplay, and cross-platform mod support.
The crossover side quest "Operation Lockdown" takes place before the events of the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. After completing "The Heist" and two gigs from Wakako, players can wait for her message to start the quest and obtain a five-piece outfit themed around the character King during the mission. The update also introduces the HKGN 102.0 FM radio station featuring tracks from the anime series, five new outfits, hairstyles previously exclusive to NPCs, the side quest "Welcome to Paradise" narrated by Richard Night, and 12 Minor Arcana tarot cards.
In terms of gameplay, the Cool skill tree adds "Double Trouble" and four supporting skills, allowing Power Handguns and Revolvers to be dual-wielded. Five Glamdoc doctors can now change the skins and colors of players' Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire, and Launch System.
Cross-platform modding powered by mod.io covers PC, Mac, PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S, but console players using modded saves cannot earn achievements or trophies. The update also adds FOV options for consoles, save file organization by playthrough, stash filtering, DLSS 4.5, and support for up to 6x Multi-Frame Generation, while improving ray tracing, PS5 Pro performance, and HDR display. Versions for Nintendo Switch 2 and the Mac App Store will be released later.
