NetEase has released update 1.78/1.000.113 for Marvel Rivals, adding the "Road to Doom" event and the limited-time "Avengers: Endgame" mode. By participating in the event, players can obtain Captain America's themed costume from Captain America: The Winter Soldier and other rewards for free.
The new mode tells the story of Thanos from the past breaking through the timeline and leading his army to reshape the universe, requiring heroes to fight to restore the timeline. The event runs from October 22, 2026, at 09:00 UTC to November 26, 2026, at 09:00 UTC. The mode will be available during specified time slots for four consecutive weeks starting October 24. On the first day, sessions will run from 01:00 to 03:00 and 18:00 to 20:00.
Classic scenes from Avengers: Endgame will also be screened in the Times Square area. Watch continuously for two minutes to unlock an exclusive gallery card. Players can take a photo with an NPC at the classic scene photo wall outside the gift shop to instantly receive 100 units of currency.
In the store, new bundle packs for Black Cat and Elsa Bloodstone will be available from October 23 to November 20. Jeff, Black Cat emotes, and related action bundles will also go on sale starting October 23. This patch also fixes various issues with heroes, sound effects, animations, and competitive statistics, including Black Cat occasionally being unable to use wall portals, abnormal directionality of Black Widow's skills, missing weapon displays for Hawkeye, and team wipes not correctly counting towards the ACE achievement when opponents disconnect.
