Netmarble's dark vampire-themed MMORPG, Vampires, is scheduled for global release on October 27, launching on PC via the Epic Games Store as well as on iOS and Android mobile devices. Pre-downloads will open early on October 26.
Featuring mature, dark artwork centered on vampires and Gothic horror, the game constructs a world dominated by blood, desire, and destruction. The story revolves around conflict, ambition, and survival, with no traditional heroes in this world; the characters players assume are not part of any heroic faction.
Players can choose from five classes, but all are damage-focused, with no traditional healer roles. Characters must use vampire abilities to absorb essence and restore health. The developers state that players can strengthen their characters through grinding and actual gameplay, without needing to purchase upgrade materials.
In addition to various PvE content, Vampires features a large-scale open PvP battlefield called "Gehenna." The game will regularly rotate the population of participating servers to prevent any single group from controlling the battlefield for extended periods. Players who pre-register will also receive corresponding rewards.
