"Wo Long 2: Phoenix Flames Across the Sky" Announces Demo Feedback, Will Adjust Combat and Performance

Koei Tecmo and Team NINJA have released the results of the Alpha trial questionnaire for "Wo Long 2: Phoenix Flames Across the Sky," confirming that the full release will be improved based on player feedback. Adjustments cover the combat system, enemy behavior, graphical performance, control settings, and online features.

This trial was available from September 16 to 30, 2026, allowing players to explore the open area of Changban and join forces with Liu Bei's army to fight off Cao Cao's pursuing troops. The development team plans to simplify feedback for the Insight skill, widen the timing window for successful Deflects and Insights, and rebalance morale gain and consumption.

Strong attacks, martial arts, and certain spells will be enhanced. Other combat improvements include better tracking for aerial attacks, allowing players to switch weapons and cast spells in mid-air, improving fatal attack combos, and adjusting Divine Beast manifestations. Enemy kill-move indicators will also be more prominent, and issues with airborne enemies moving to unreachable positions will be addressed.

Technical optimizations will focus on improving frame rate stability, reducing loading times during fast travel and retries, and minimizing instances of models popping in. Adjustments will also be made to textures, draw distance, indoor lighting, and visibility in dark areas.

The team also plans to add custom controller button mapping, improve keyboard and mouse settings, lock-on camera, map zooming, exploration element statistics, tutorial prompts, and online progress saving, while enhancing matchmaking stability. "Wo Long 2: Phoenix Flames Across the Sky" is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC on March 4, 2027, and will also be available on Game Pass.
