Browser-based online TRPG tool "TRPG Studio" to cease service on November 11

The browser-based online TRPG tool "TRPG Studio" will cease operations on November 11, at which point its online session features will be affected. The official team has announced the shutdown, halted new user registrations, and set an October deadline for new paid membership applications and renewals.

According to the official statement, the shutdown is due to the tool being operated by an individual, making it difficult to sustain the resources needed for stable operation and management. TRPG Studio supports online TRPG sessions via browser, allowing GMs and players to use dice, chat, and other features to progress their sessions. It is accessible on PCs, smartphones, and tablets, allows spectators to join, and can generate game logs or replay videos with a single click.

Currently, the exact time of shutdown, specific reasons, and future plans have not been clarified. It remains to be confirmed by the operators whether users need to export rooms, scenarios, or other data in advance. Paid members with active subscriptions in October can continue using member features until November 11 without additional payment. For users who have long relied on the tool to store their TRPG records, backing up important data before the shutdown may be a safer choice.
