Ubisoft plans to update the PS5 version of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag - Memory Reset next week, adding a New Game+ mode. This feature will allow players to replay the full campaign, addressing the community's long-standing demand for New Game+ since the game's launch.
Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag - Memory Reset was released this July. This patch will mark the first time this version supports New Game+, allowing players who have completed their first playthrough to once again experience Edward's story and his seafaring adventures.
Currently, the developers have only confirmed the approximate timing of the update and the new mode. They have not yet explained how New Game+ will function, nor have they specified which abilities, equipment, and items will carry over. It remains unconfirmed whether players can bring their unlocked content into a second playthrough, or if the patch will include New Game+-exclusive challenges or rewards.
Players still clearing island objectives, Mayan stelae, animal resources, and synchronization points can wait for Ubisoft to announce detailed rules before deciding whether to start New Game+. The exact release date of the patch is also pending further official disclosure.
