Iceflake Studios and Paradox Interactive officially unveil their new city-building game at gamescom
BEIJING TIME – August 26, 2026 – Paradox Interactive, Iceflake Studios, and The LEGO Group today announced LEGO® Skylines during the Opening Night Live stream at gamescom. This new title is a warm, freely customizable city-building game where Everythinggj fits together in perfect harmony.
Developed by Iceflake Studios and published by Paradox Interactive, the game will launch on Steam, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch™ 2.
Reimagining city-building in a fun and engaging way, LEGO® Skylines invites you to build, manage, and grow your dream city in a vibrant LEGO world. Bring any idea from your imagination to life, or dive deep into an evolving world that unfolds as you play. Start with a single plot, build your first house, and watch your neighborhood blossom into a thriving metropolis shaped by your decisions.
In LEGO® Skylines, you can build a city that is both beautiful and functional. Start by setting up essential infrastructure like roads, power, food, and water to keep your city running smoothly. Then, transform it into a home that citizens truly love.
Build cozy homes for citizens to return to after work, green parks for relaxation, quirky shops stocked with their favorite items, and well-equipped hospitals to keep everyone healthy. Turn your city into a cultural hub with fascinating museums and impressive sports arenas, or place a bakery on every corner, baking delicious donuts from wheat grown on your own farms.
As your city expands, you'll unlock new buildings and services for citizens to enjoy, boosting your city rating and their happiness. With highly customizable plots, buildings, and countless LEGO decorations, you can easily create a city that bears your unique personal touch.
LEGO® Skylines delivers the satisfaction of placing Everythinggj exactly where you want it—and where it belongs.
"Most of us at Iceflake grew up with LEGO sets, and that passion has stayed with us ever since. As devoted LEGO fans, we're thrilled to combine our creative enthusiasm with all the experience we've gained over the years developing deep management and simulation games," said Lasse Liljedahl, Co-Founder and Game Director at Iceflake Studios. "With LEGO® Skylines, we want to make city-building a more personal experience, where your imagination is the only limit to what you can create. We can't wait to see players bring their dreams to life in the game."
"Building and creating have always been at the heart of the LEGO experience, and LEGO® Skylines takes us into exciting new territory," said Fredrik Löving, Senior Vice President and Global Head of GAME at The LEGO Group. "Together with Paradox Interactive and Iceflake Studios, we're bringing the LEGO experience to one of the most popular game genres in the world. From the start, our goal wasn't just to make a LEGO city-builder, but to create a game that stands among the best in the genre. Whether players dream of building a bustling metropolis, a quirky seaside town, or something entirely unprecedented, LEGO® Skylines gives them the creative freedom and depth to make it happen."
LEGO® Skylines is now available for wishlist.
