During the Opening Night Live event at Gamescom 2026, a new trailer for Path of Exile 2 was released, confirming that Early Access will officially end on December 11, marking its full release as a free-to-play game.
After two years in Early Access, Path of Exile 2 is finally ready for its 1.0 release.
The new trailer showcases some of the story settings and a faster combat pace compared to its predecessor. Like the previous game, Path of Exile 2 will offer extensive class customization options, including hundreds of active and passive skill gems, with a focus on endgame content featuring over 100 maps and challenging boss battles.
Path of Exile 2 launched in Early Access on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 in December 2024. The Early Access version requires a purchase.
