On June 14, freestyle skiing Olympic champion Eileen Gu posted an update on Weibo with the caption "Stanford graduation weekend starts now," accompanied by a nine-photo grid of graduation memories, marking the conclusion of her undergraduate journey at Stanford University.
At the age of 17, Eileen Gu received an admission offer from Stanford University. To fully prepare for the Beijing Winter Olympics, she proactively deferred her enrollment by one year, officially starting in the fall of 2022 with a major in International Relations. Throughout her studies, she balanced professional ski training and international competitions. In preparation for the Milan Winter Olympics, she briefly adjusted her academic schedule, often completing coursework during breaks in training or while traveling to and from competitions. She ultimately earned 106 credits, far exceeding the baseline requirements for her peers, and also participated in an exchange program at the University of Oxford.
