The achievement list indicates that the game will take place in Yokohama—a large coastal city with a style distinct from the rural town of Inaba in Persona 4 and the Tokyo metropolitan area in Persona 5. Compared to the hustle and bustle of Shibuya and Shinjuku, players can look forward to a more relaxed experience.
Players will join a vigilante group called "Hex," officially becoming members by signing a contract. Previous game trailers hinted that this title would focus more on investigation or law enforcement themes. The achievements reveal several dungeon names. Players will "arrest" criminals within these dungeons, reinforcing the theme of vigilante justice.
Investigation mechanics will be central to this title. The achievement "Following the Thread" suggests that players can connect clues during "investigation meetings," implying that traditional detective methods may be required to solve cases and unravel mysteries.
The Social Link system is confirmed to return, now seemingly renamed "Connections." The Major and Minor Arcana Tarot cards remain, while social networks play a more significant role in this installment. The achievement "How Many Friends Can One Person Make?" requires establishing 80 connections, suggesting a far greater number of interactive characters than in any previous entry in the series. The Velvet Room and Persona fusion will naturally continue to appear, as they are core systems consistent throughout the series.
