Shift Up has officially announced the release date for the action game Stellar Blade on Nintendo Switch 2. Reportedly, the game will launch on November 5, 2026, including all additional content released for the original PS5 version. To celebrate the game's arrival on Switch 2, all players (including owners of the PC and PS5 versions) will receive skins for Bayonetta and other characters.

Lee Dong-ki, the company's Technical Director, revealed some technical details about the port in an interview with overseas media. The development team aims to achieve a performance of 60 frames per second in both handheld and docked modes. To this end, they utilized NVIDIA DLSS upscaling technology (up to 1080p in docked mode and up to 720p in handheld mode) and employed AMD FSR 3.1 for frame interpolation. Additionally, the Switch 2 version will support HD Rumble, touchscreen controls, and gyroscope functionality.
The story of Stellar Blade takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where Earth has been overrun by hostile creatures known as the "Natives." The protagonist, Eve, is an elite soldier from a space colony who travels to Earth on a mission to save humanity. However, during her battles, she gradually realizes that Earth's past hides secrets far darker than she could have imagined. Players will experience a dynamic hack-and-slash game featuring a deep combat system and exploration of ancient ruins.
