Entergram has released the PC (Steam) demo for VIRTUAL ENCORE, offering approximately two hours of gameplay. Players can experience the story from the beginning up to the first time loop.
VIRTUAL ENCORE is a time-loop mystery adventure game set in a VTuber agency. Players take on the role of Wakaba Kusunoki, a manager at "Production Echoes," assisting Erika Mikazuki with preparations during the six days leading up to her first solo concert.
Before the concert begins, Mizuki Kisaragi, the person behind Erika Mikazuki, is found dead. Wakaba Kusunoki is then sent back to the morning six days before the concert. In each loop, players must choose destinations on the map, experience scenes they haven't seen before, and gradually uncover the truth behind Mizuki's death.
Erika Mikazuki and Mizuki Kisaragi are voiced by Shiori Yoshimura, while Kirara Hinata and Kou Shirase are voiced by Nagisa Higami. Both voice actors provide voices for the characters' VTuber personas during live streams and their real identities when off-air. The official opening animation, featuring the theme song "Aftersounds," has also been released.
Pre-orders for the Switch physical edition are now open. The Complete Limited Edition is planned to include a four-layer acrylic decoration board, an acrylic keychain with an NFC tag featuring the theme song, and photo cards with original and newly drawn illustrations; specifications and designs for these bonuses are still in development. The pre-order start date for the Switch digital version will be announced separately.
The game will also be featured at Tokyo Game Show 2026, held at Makuhari Messe from September 17 to 21. On September 21 at 12:00 PM, Entergram plans to host a joint stage event for VIRTUAL ENCORE and ARIABLUE, where the latest news for both titles will be revealed.
VIRTUAL ENCORE is scheduled to launch on PC (Steam) and Switch in January 2027. The Steam and Switch digital versions will be priced at 3,960 yen, the Switch standard physical edition at 4,400 yen, and the Complete Limited Edition at 9,900 yen.
