At TGS 2026, publishers Dragami Games and Nada Holdings, along with developer JP Universe, announced that Lollipop Chainsaw 2 Back2Back will be released in 2027 for the PS5. Attendees can also try out the game at TGS 2026.
The development team for Lollipop Chainsaw 2 Back2Back includes Hajime Tabata, director of Final Fantasy XV; Masahiro Yuki, who produced and wrote the script for the original Lollipop Chainsaw; and NekoshowguN, responsible for the concept art of the original protagonist.

Juliet returns to a rebuilt San Romero in a new outfit and with greater power than ever before. San Romero has transformed into a sprawling metropolis called "Jaridwood," built around the film industry. Trapped within a twisted zombie movie by a mysterious director, Juliet must team up with allies to uncover the conspiracy behind the chaos and stop the new threat of zombies from the Corrupted Realm.
