Five New Cast Members Join Far Cry Live-Action Series, Including Brendan Gleeson

FX's upcoming series Far Cry, adapted from Ubisoft's popular first-person shooter franchise, has added five more actors to its cast as production officially begins.

Oscar nominee Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight, Fargo) and Brendan Gleeson (Spider-Man: Noir, The Banshees of Inisherin) have signed on, with Hamish Linklater (Batman: Caped Crusader, Whisperers), Sam Spruell (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), and Jamie Demetriou (Only Murders in the Building) also confirmed to star.

The Far Cry series is showrun by Noah Hawley (Fargo, Alien: Earth) and Rob McElhenney (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia). Previously announced cast members include McElhenney, Lizzy Caplan, and Steve Buscemi. As an anthology series, Far Cry will air on FX and Hulu, with each season telling a different story featuring different settings and casts. No release date has been announced yet.

In terms of games, it has been a while since the Far Cry series had a new release, with the previous entry being 2021's Far Cry 6.
