ComicBook recently selected ten notable anime sequels to watch in Fall 2026. Titles such as "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2" and "Ranma ½" Season 3 made the list, with broadcasts rolling out from late September through October.
Tenth on the list is Season 2 of "The Wild Last Boss Appeared!", scheduled to stream on Crunchyroll on September 26. The story follows the protagonist who is reborn into his favorite game world, taking over the body of Lufas Mafal, only to discover that this world holds a history previously unknown to players.
"The Returner's Magic Should Be Special" Season 2 ranks ninth, arriving on Crunchyroll on October 7. The protagonist, who once challenged the final enemy alongside the hero's party, is sent back several years due to an explosion and attempts to change the future by training his companions ahead of time.
Also premiering on October 7, "Reincarnated as a Sword" Season 2 ranks eighth and will be available on HIDIVE. The new season continues to depict Fran's adventures with the sentient sword, bringing the stage to a new dungeon filled with dangerous enemies.
"Ranma ½" Season 3 ranks seventh, launching on Netflix on October 3. Animated by MAPPA, the new season will introduce more characters. Sixth place goes to "Blue Box" Season 2, which arrives on Netflix on October 4, continuing the story centered on Taiki and Chinatsu's relationship and their respective athletic goals.
"Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku Arc" ranks fifth, premiering on Hulu on October 2. The animation team has billed it as the final season of the series, but it remains unconfirmed whether the new season will fully cover the manga's final arcs.
Ranking fourth is "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2", set to launch on Netflix on October 20. According to the current schedule, the earliest premiere among the aforementioned titles is Season 2 of "The Wild Last Boss Appeared!" on September 26.
