Insomniac Games' lowest-rated title, Marvel's Wolverine, has faced a review bombing campaign on Metacritic, with numerous players giving it a score of 0. Currently, Marvel's Wolverine holds a user score of just 6.4 out of 10 on Metacritic.
As of now, Marvel's Wolverine has received over 2,700 user reviews, with more than 34% being negative. Interestingly, however, the majority of these negative reviews have given the game a low score of 0/10 or 1/10.
The reasons cited in these "malicious negative reviews" include Sweet Baby Inc.'s involvement in the game's development and an excessive focus on guiding players. Some reviews are as brief as "worst game ever," accompanied by absurdly low ratings.
This is clearly another typical case of malicious review bombing on Metacritic, a fate that has befallen several other games before. However, the current review bombing of Marvel's Wolverine appears to be more severe than that experienced by most first-party PlayStation titles.
Setting aside these player reviews, the current situation surrounding Marvel's Wolverine certainly warrants continued attention.
