Rockstar Games recently confirmed its next publishing project following GTA 6. Max Payne 1 & 2 Remastered, developed by Remedy Entertainment, will be published by Rockstar Games and released as a standalone title.
Max Payne 1 & 2 Remastered is planned for release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Neither party has yet revealed further details such as game content or launch date. More information may not be disclosed until some time after the release of GTA 6.
Remedy developed the first two Max Payne games, while Rockstar Games handled the third installment, Max Payne 3. This project combines the first two titles into a single remastered release and is the only upcoming title confirmed to be published under the Rockstar Games label.
Prior to this, Rockstar Games will launch GTA 6 on November 19, 2026. This marks the company's first major new release since Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018. In the intervening period, Rockstar mainly ported older titles to newer hardware platforms and released collections such as Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.
As for Rockstar's next internally developed title, there is no confirmed news yet. GTA 6 is confirmed to focus on single-player experience, with an online mode potentially launching later, possibly as a separate product. However, specific plans have not been announced, and a release within this year seems unlikely.
