Embark Studios will unveil an in-depth preview of the "Frozen Path" update for ARC Raiders on September 23. Scheduled for release on October 8, the update's trailer also showcases a massive new type of ARC enemy.
A short teaser was released on September 18, announcing that the full preview will premiere on YouTube at 10:00 AM PDT, 1:00 PM EDT, and 7:00 PM CEST on September 23.
Dubbed the largest update for ARC Raiders to date, "Frozen Path" will introduce a new map. Full details on the map's design and content have not yet been disclosed, with more information expected during the preview stream.
In May this year, ARC Raiders adjusted its content update strategy, shifting from monthly updates to at least two major updates per year. "Frozen Path" will be the first major update under this new approach.
The game's "Expedition" system may also undergo adjustments. Executive Producer Aleksander Grøndal recently stated that the team is still studying the future of this system, with complete removal being considered, though no final decision has been made.
Under the current plan, the fifth Expedition will be the last one lasting at least until early 2027, and it could potentially be the final one. The official team has not yet confirmed whether more related information will be revealed during the "Frozen Path" preview on September 23.
