Market data firm Alinea Analytics estimates that the PS5 exclusive Marvel's Wolverine generated approximately $130 million in revenue and sold around 1.9 million copies within its first three days of release. Rhys Elliott, the company's research director, stated that the title currently ranks sixth on the 2026 PS5 game revenue chart.
Alinea Analytics also compared the title with several first-party games released by Sony in recent years. According to the firm's estimates, Ghost of Yotei generated $121.9 million in revenue, which is 6.3% lower than Marvel's Wolverine; Death Stranding 2: On the Beaches generated $51.7 million, which is 60.3% lower.
Among other titles used for comparison, Astro Bot is estimated to have generated $34.6 million in revenue, Stellar Blade $32.7 million, Rise of the Ronin $25.7 million, and Helldivers 2 $18.9 million. These figures are all market estimates from Alinea Analytics and do not represent actual sales and revenue reported by publishers.
Elliott believes that Marvel's Wolverine's launch momentum currently trails only behind Marvel's Spider-Man 2. He also noted that online controversies surrounding the game's QTEs, mission markers, and linear progression design did not prevent the title from achieving strong revenue in its initial release period.
However, it remains unclear whether Marvel's Wolverine can sustain its sales momentum in the long term. As more players begin to play, online discussions may continue to evolve; for now, only the estimated performance during the first three days after launch can be confirmed.
