Following its huge success, Capcom is also taking full advantage of this opportunity by offering discounts on some classic Resident Evil games for fans. As a result, sales of the series have seen a substantial increase.
According to Alinea Analytics, driven by both official discounts and the strong performance of the movie, PS5 sales of the Resident Evil series saw significant growth.
Data shows that sales of Resident Evil 2 Remake increased by 64%, and PS5 sales of Resident Evil 4 Remake also rose by 54%. Sales of these two games on Steam increased by 11% and 14% respectively.
As for Resident Evil 3 Remake, its daily active player count increased by 25%. Therefore, influenced by the movie's release, Capcom's three Resident Evil remakes all saw an increase in daily active players on the PS5 platform.
