Studio Daimon has announced that the release date for Food Demon has been moved up from November 5 to November 3. Previously, the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was also confirmed for a November 5 launch, meaning both games were originally scheduled to release on the same day.
Food Demon is a tactical RPG centered around cooking, incorporating gameplay elements from Fire Emblem and Hades. Studio Daimon summarizes its combat as "literally turning enemies into dishes."
On September 7, Studio Daimon announced that the game would be released on November 5. The following day, Nintendo revealed the release date for the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which was also November 5. On September 24, Studio Daimon posted again, changing the release date of Food Demon to November 3 and jokingly noting that Nintendo had announced its release date right after theirs.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the game casts players as the last surviving chef, who cooks monsters to attract adventurers. Amidst ever-changing terrain and maps, players must plan their tactics, defeat monsters, and gather ingredients.
