At least, that's my intuition—since its release on September 17 as the latest entry in Nintendo's tactical fantasy series, I haven't finished it myself, and it seems other players are far from done either.
This game, released on the Nintendo Switch 2, has surprisingly scarce data on HowLongToBeat, the reputable site for tracking game lengths. Currently, only two player submissions are recorded, indicating that completing the main story plus some side content takes between 74 and 99 hours. However, considering there are only two submitters—while another RPG released on the same day, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC, has six player reports—this "99 hours" sounds more like a player's rant about reaching their breaking point rather than the actual full completion time.
That said, fully experiencing every part of each Fire Emblem title takes years. RPGs are known for their lengthy playtimes and substantial content, and the Fire Emblem series fits this stereotype perfectly: the previous entry, Three Houses, has an average completion time of 75.5 hours; while the series' most popular title, Awakening, averages around 44 hours. Although shorter, it's still quite time-consuming in daily life.
