Mega Crit has released the September 2026 development newsletter for Slay the Spire 2, titled "Neoletter." Several significant new pieces of content are already in internal testing, and the newsletter also reveals the silhouette of a new monster. This deck-building roguelike game entered Early Access this March.
In the August newsletter, Mega Crit stated that subsequent development would focus on major content such as another map for Act II and new characters, with the pace of beta updates expected to slow down.
The September newsletter stated that the development team has returned from their break and is back at work, creating unannounced new features, game modes, and other content, while also fixing issues and improving the gameplay experience. The team cannot yet announce the specific timing or details of the next patch, but indicated that the content currently being prepared is "quite substantial," with much of it already undergoing internal testing.
This newsletter also brings back the "Spire Watch" column from before Early Access began, showcasing the silhouette of a monster in a newly discovered unknown area within the Spire. Slay the Spire 2 is now available in Early Access on Steam for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
