Battlestate Games has announced a new event for Escape from Tarkov: daily tasks will reward Kord Breach Battle Pass files. Players can use these files to level up their Battle Pass and unlock exclusive rewards.
This event centers on the conflict between Scavengers (Scavs) and PMC mercenaries in the game. The official lore description states that a rumor is circulating among Scavs: a convoy dressed in black uniforms was hit by mortar fire, and two trucks loaded with documents subsequently fell into the hands of the attackers.
These files are allegedly linked to TerraGroup, with some being traded with merchants for supplies. Since then, PMC mercenaries have been appearing at trader outposts, receiving urgent missions to locate and retrieve the intercepted documents.
Scavengers and PMCs are still exchanging fire in the Lighthouse area. According to the event description, some attribute the ongoing conflict to a temporary increase in airdrops along that stretch of coast.
To get new file rewards from daily tasks, players can use the "Replace" option or wait for the tasks to refresh daily. Replacing tasks may affect trader reputation.
