Delta Force's second-anniversary season, "Reorientation," is now live. Development team Team Jade has also announced future update plans, including new Operation maps, Bomb Defusal mode, as well as new maps and gameplay for Warfare Mode.
This free-to-play tactical shooter initially launched on PC, followed by a mobile version and a release on Xbox Series X|S. Team Jade stated that adjustments for the second-anniversary season were based on player feedback collected since the game's launch. The anniversary event, which began on September 26, features daily tasks giving players a chance to earn up to 3,900 limited-time Delta Tickets; the event also introduces the AUG's "Golden State" legendary skin.
Among upcoming content, the new Operation Mode map "Siege: Valkyrie" is planned for release in early 2027 and will utilize some Unreal Engine 5 technologies. Set in a besieged city, the map features walls separating the affluent inner city from the resource-scarce outer city. Players can extract with acquired supplies or delve deeper into the city; for the first time, players from different difficulty tiers will enter the same match.
Warfare Mode will also incorporate some Unreal Engine 5 technologies. "The Mog," introduced this season, is the first Warfare Mode map to support these features and introduces a convoy escort gameplay mode: G.T.I. must escort the convoy through checkpoints, while Haavk aims to stop it. Players can also board Black Hawk helicopters to operate weapons or perform repairs. The next Warfare Mode map is planned for release in November, with more maps and modes scheduled for 2027.
The new Bomb Defusal mode, "Detonation," will begin testing on September 27 for PC and mobile players globally, with console players expected to join later this year. Attackers need to breach defenses and plant bombs; defenders must prevent planting or defuse the bomb in time if it has been planted.
This season also adds one-click loadout configuration and a Combat Support Fund that can be used to pay for equipment costs. The tutorial has been revamped, and the in-game G.T.I. Field Manual has been adjusted. Operation Mode's "Layali Grove 2.0" adds new exploration areas and a fishing system, allowing caught fish to be displayed in the collection room aquarium; "Polaris Patrol" lets players once again assume the role of Security Director Desmoulins, with related competitive experiences also tuned.
The first volume of the character story series "Operator Archives" is now available. The "Operator Quarters," designed for player customization, relaxation, and socializing, is scheduled to launch in early 2027. On the esports front, Season 2 of the RISE Series is already underway; the Delta Force Invitational will be held at DreamHack Stockholm from November 27 to 29, marking the game's first major offline event outside of Asia.
