Karolina Stachyra, the writer behind The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's "Bloody Baron" quest, has returned to CDPR. She has updated her LinkedIn profile to list her as a full-time writer at the studio; it is currently unclear which game she is working on.
Stachyra previously worked as a writer on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, leaving CDPR in 2016 to join Techland. Since then, she has served as a Senior Narrative Designer and Narrative Director, contributing to an unannounced fantasy title.
Prior to this profile update, Stachyra had been collaborating with CDPR as a freelance consultant from February to July. A user on the social platform X noticed that she changed her position on LinkedIn to full-time writer in August.
Stachyra wrote the "Bloody Baron" quest for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Her work also covered main and side quests, character dialogue, as well as in-game books, letters, monster entries, and character descriptions; her portfolio includes narrative and dialogue design for over 40 quests.
She also contributed to the narrative design of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt expansions Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. CDPR is currently working on projects including The Witcher 4, a remake of the original The Witcher, and a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, but Stachyra's LinkedIn profile does not specify which of these projects she will be involved in.
