Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released digitally on October 6, with the physical edition following on November 27. Starring Tom Holland, this is his fourth standalone Spider-Man film as Peter Parker and was released in theaters on July 31.
The digital version is expected to be available for purchase or rental on platforms such as Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies. There is an approximately two-month gap between the theatrical release and the digital launch; those waiting for the physical edition will need to hold out until late November.
The film's global box office is currently nearing $2.5 billion, against a production budget of $225 million. Its worldwide gross has placed it among the top three highest-grossing films of all time, behind Avatar and Avengers: Endgame, while also setting a new record for the highest domestic box office in North America. Another Marvel film this year, Avengers: Doomsday, is scheduled for release on December 18.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day holds a 90% critics score and a 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. There is currently no confirmed date for when it will be available to stream via subscription. Under Sony's agreement with Netflix, the latter becomes the first subscription streaming platform to host its films after their theatrical run ends.
