The Apple iPhone 18 Pro has proven its powerful gaming performance. It handles games like Resident Evil 4 Remake with ease, and the A20 Pro SoC delivers stunning performance.
Now, a developer has even managed to get Red Dead Redemption 2 running on the iPhone 18 Pro at over 30 FPS.
Given this, Apple might collaborate with Rockstar Games in the future to release an official mobile version, especially considering that the original Red Dead Redemption already has a mobile port.
All of this is thanks to Madeira, which makes it possible to run Windows PC games on iOS.
Madeira requires at least an iPhone 13 Pro, but its performance is best on the iPhone 18 Pro when running Red Dead Redemption 2. The game runs at 720p resolution, trading visual fidelity for smooth frame rates.
According to the project's developer, games like Grand Theft Auto V and Ultrakill can also run on iPhones. However, they still require further optimization.
Unfortunately, Madeira will not be available on Apple's iOS. Currently, it is more of a personal interest project aimed at showcasing the gaming limits of the latest iPhones.
The good news is that Apple itself supports various AAA titles, including Death Stranding and Assassin's Creed Mirage.
