During the first part of the 2026 Halloween event in Pokémon GO, a set of free timed research will be available to all players. Without needing to complete any additional tasks beforehand, players can obtain 6 Rare Candies and encounter a festive Pikachu wearing a hat and cape, which may also appear in its shiny form.
The claim period for this research aligns with the first part of the Halloween event and will end at 10:00 AM local time on November 1. Although there are no complex conditions to claim the rewards, players must still log in and claim them before the event ends to avoid missing out on the limited-time content.
The first part of the event will also feature Golbat wearing top hats and Sinistea with bows. Previously released Halloween-themed Pokémon such as Piplup, Drifloon, and Duskull, dressed in trick-or-treat outfits, will have increased spawn rates. A remix of the classic Lavender Town music will play while playing at night.
A Super Raid Day will also be held on Halloween, featuring Chandelure. The second part of the event, starting on November 1, will introduce shiny forms of Greavard and Houndstone.
