After selling out rapidly on the first day of pre-orders, The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Nintendo Switch 2 has seen a new round of restocking in the UK. It is currently available for order on both Amazon and Argos, though Argos delivery depends on the buyer's postal code.
The US market still lacks a stable supply. Best Buy and Target have both briefly restocked recently, with Best Buy even planning midnight launch events at its stores; Walmart has yet to see a second wave of stock, while the official Nintendo store page displays "Please check back later."
This round of inventory replenishment coincides with retailers processing pre-order payments and shipments for the October 29 release. Some consoles freed up due to payment failures or order cancellations may be relisted. Bill van Zyll, Head of Nintendo Latin America, stated that the company underestimated the popularity of this special edition and is currently restocking hardware and software, though it will still take some time.
Officials have clearly stated that this console is a "Special Edition" rather than a "Limited Edition" with a fixed production run, meaning more units can still be manufactured. It is priced at $519.99 in the US and £429.99 in the UK, and does not include The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remastered. Retailer stock levels fluctuate quickly, and some merchants may bundle accessories or games, so actual prices and delivery conditions are subject to the checkout page.
