Blue Archive Japan Operations Expected to Transfer to Nexon in January 2027

Blue Archive will adjust its publishing and operational structure in Japan. The responsibilities currently handled by Yostar are expected to be transferred to Nexon around January 2027. Officials have confirmed that this change of publisher does not mean the game will cease operations in Japan, and player data and in-game assets are planned to be carried over smoothly.

This adjustment stems from a request by the developer, NEXON Games, to terminate the partnership. After negotiations, both parties decided to end the current publishing agreement, with Nexon taking over services in the Japanese region. Until the official handover is complete, Yostar will remain responsible for local operations and assist with transitional matters.

The transfer scope includes in-game items, unused Blue Archive Stones, and player data. Nexon has published a page explaining the publisher change, outlining the schedule and FAQs, but specific details regarding the handover date, account migration procedures, and data handling methods are yet to be announced.

Senior executives from both parties plan to meet again in November to further discuss the game's future direction. This adjustment applies only to the Japanese region; the Chinese server will continue its current operations and will not be affected by this transfer.
