Up to 16 Players Can Team Up to Clean the Moon in 'Moon Sweepers', Which Surpasses 36,000 Peak Concurrent Players

"Moon Sweepers," a cleaning simulation game from the two-person team DragDrop Games, has surpassed 36,000 peak concurrent players on Steam just days after its release. The game starts with sweeping the entire Moon using a toothbrush and supports both solo play and cooperative multiplayer for up to 16 players.

Players are dispatched by a fictional lunar department to the Moon for a massive cleanup. Starting with only an ordinary toothbrush, you must manually scrape away thin layers of lunar regolith, collect the dust in small containers, and deliver it to recycling points to earn your first funds.

As progress continues, manual labor gradually expands into a production system. Players can purchase brooms, handheld cleaning devices, and lunar rovers, upgrade machinery in the garage, and build bases, solar panels, compressors, and conveyor belts.

At the time, the game's Steam approval rating was around 77%. Players praised its relaxing gameplay loop and progression but pointed out issues such as economic balance, crashes, and save loading problems; the upgrade tree could even be exhausted before clearing 1% of the lunar surface. The development team has been working on improvements, with the latest update increasing the speed of automated robots, adding new equipment, and fixing save loading errors, while promising long-term support.
