SCS Software has announced that the Euro Truck Simulator 2: Iceland expansion will launch on November 10, 2026. An official trailer showcasing local roads, locations, and natural scenery has also been released. The new map will feature 14 cities and settlements, including Reykjavík and Akureyri.
The roundabouts in the expansion will connect bustling areas, quiet settlements, and remote regions. Along the way, players can see volcanoes, glaciers, black sand beaches, and massive waterfalls, with iconic locations such as Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, Goðafoss, Gullfoss, Seljalandsfoss, the Vík area, Geysir, and Þingvellir.
Some narrow bridges only allow one-way traffic, requiring drivers to yield to oncoming vehicles. Cargo types reflect local industries, including farms, quarries, and the silica plant in Húsavík.
In terms of environmental presentation, the aurora borealis may appear in the night sky under suitable conditions, and day length will reflect Iceland's real-world patterns. The Euro Truck Simulator 2: Iceland expansion is now available to wishlist on Steam.
