Player Builds an Online Game Cemetery! 367 Tombstones Record Discontinued Titles

A player named SomeoneTookMyYogurt has built a virtual "cemetery" commemorating discontinued online games. This moonlit city currently features 367 tombstones, each corresponding to a shut-down MMO or always-online game, with empty plots reserved for projects that were announced but never released.

Visitors can walk through the park, take a hot air balloon ride for an aerial view, pay respects at graves, and light candles. Each tombstone records not only the game's name but also its operational dates, developer, peak player count, shutdown history, and epitaph. Sources are included for verification, making the site both a memorial and an archive.

In other simultaneous game announcements, V Rising: The Haunted Nights Castle Pack for V Rising is available for free until November 2; Palworld's next update, titled "Side by Side," is scheduled for release in winter 2026.

Helldivers 2 will replace its anti-cheat tool from GameGuard to Easy Anti-Cheat. Crossout is now available on the Xbox app for Windows, allowing Xbox console players to retain their progress and purchased content using the same Microsoft account. In contrast to these operational updates, this virtual cemetery focuses on preserving the history of server-dependent games, providing a space for players to mourn together and access information.
