Pearl Abyss released hotfix 1.000.683 for Crimson Desert on November 1, updating the internal game version to 2.04.05. This patch primarily addresses crashes and issues preventing progress in several quests.
The update fixed a crash that could occur when players battled "Vicious Molar Labok." It also resolved an issue where Damian's exclusive quest "Beginning and End" could not progress if the main quest "The Way Back" was completed during a specific time frame.
Additionally, fixes were applied to issues such as being unable to progress in the quest to propose to certain witches, and being unable to continue Cliff's quest "Blank Space" without a fishing rod.
Another hotfix released earlier the same day addressed several bugs, including key items being unequipped from Graymane companions and duplicated in the inventory upon loading a save or restarting the game, as well as issues such as registered livestock disappearing from the farm and parts of the "Gift" interface displaying in Korean.
Several known issues remain unresolved, including crashes with specific AMD drivers, returning to the title screen when gifting items in bulk, claiming platform rewards, NPC interactions, quest progression, and visual anomalies with FSR4 during rain. Players should keep an eye out for future patches and temporary workarounds.
