The Pokémon Company accidentally used images from the 2027 collaboration booster pack in promotional materials for its 2026 McDonald's Pokémon campaign targeting the US market. This prematurely revealed the lineup of 16 Pokémon for next year's McDonald's collaboration with the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
The revealed list includes Bulbasaur, Rowlet, Sprigatito, Charmander, Torchic, Squirtle, Piplup, Pikachu, Raichu, Clefairy, Slowpoke, Marill, Gengar, Eevee, and Snorlax, covering starter Pokémon from multiple generations as well as several long-time fan favorites.
Notably, the Squirtle card in this lineup had not previously made an official appearance in the trading card game. This has led players to speculate whether it might be related to the "Flowing Fist" (tentative translation) expansion pack, but claims regarding Blastoise and subsequent expansion themes remain player speculation rather than official information.
This batch of McDonald's collaboration cards is expected to launch sometime in 2027, though an exact release date has not yet been officially confirmed. It is also unclear whether the leaked images correspond to the final release version, as card effects and specific launch details are still pending announcement.
