Overwatch has revealed concept art for the Widowmaker skin from the "EVE Protocol" collaboration, confirming that this partnership is themed around Stellar Blade. The crossover event will launch in Overwatch on November 4.
The official key visual was previously released, and this newly unveiled concept art further showcases the corresponding design elements between Widowmaker and Eve. Eve will appear as a Widowmaker skin, with her outfit silhouette continuing Stellar Blade's character design, while the back design has been adjusted to fit Widowmaker's combat stance.
The concept art also displays the accompanying weapon appearance. Widowmaker's firearm can switch between assault rifle and sniper rifle modes. Since Eve primarily engages in close-quarters combat in Stellar Blade, this skin brings Eve's thematic design into a long-range shooting context.
The developers stated that concept art for other heroes will be revealed gradually. The existing key visual also hints at the potential appearance of skins related to Lifeweaver and Raven, but their full character correspondences have not yet been confirmed. Details regarding how to obtain the skins, their pricing, and bundle contents await further official announcements.
