"Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game" Receives Update! Adds Spectator Mode and 16-Player Lobbies

"Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game" has launched the "Avatar State" update across all platforms, focusing on improving online features that faced criticism post-launch. This update, along with the previous Patch 3.0, adds spectator mode, 16-player open lobbies, and upgraded private lobbies.

Ranked matches now follow a best-of-three format and include penalties for quitting, quick chat in the rematch screen, and lobby tabs. "Ranked 2.0" calculates points only after the entire match is completed, preventing winners from losing points if their opponent disconnects early.

This update also overhauls numerous placeholder animations and moves for the hidden characters Avatar Aang and Nightmare Korra, adding new Ultimate Moves for both. Other characters have received significant buffs, nerfs, and balance adjustments. The game also adds two new stages: Air Temple Island and Path of the Avatar. The main menu, as well as the character and stage selection screens, have been redesigned.

Story Mode features improved enemy AI, New Game+, difficulty settings, and a new tutorial, with adjusted progression. Training, Arcade, and Combo Trial modes have also been updated. Pre-order customers and Deluxe Edition owners can vote within one month for the next DLC character from Amon, Kuvira, King Bumi, Asami Sato, and Tenzin, with Deluxe Edition holders receiving an extra vote.
