Recently, a promotional video for the GPW4 mouse released by Logitech G's Audio-Visual Flagship Store sparked controversy. In the video,A cartoon Dog.exe's eyes light up upon seeing a discount, leading some netizens to question whether it was subtly mocking consumers for eagerly flocking to sales.
On November 2, Logitech customer service responded: "We sincerely apologize for the unpleasant experience. We have launched an investigation. Thank you for your supervision and understanding. Logitech China always respects every player."
However, the store's customer service offered another explanation, claiming that the puppy in the video was merely an emoji and was not intended to insult consumers.
Notably, this is the second time this year that Logitech has faced public backlash over marketing copy involving "dogs."
On March 26 this year,When promoting the GPW3 mouse, Logitech's official flagship store released promotional copy stating, "As soon as I lower the price, you'll come running over like a Dog.exe," sparking widespread dissatisfaction among players.
Logitech China subsequently issued an apology statement that evening, stating that the违规 content was posted without approval by an employee of Shanghai Best Electronics Co., Ltd., the authorized operator. The relevant video has been taken down, and the individuals involved have been dealt with.
