After Years of Waiting! The Elder Scrolls VI Title Trailer Released, Subtitled "Sentinel"

Bethesda recently announced the full title of The Elder Scrolls VI: The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel. This is one of the few substantial updates since the game was first revealed at E3 2018, but the latest trailer did not showcase any gameplay footage, nor did it announce a release date or window.

Title Reveal Trailer:

The title reveal appeared at the end of Bethesda's 40th-anniversary celebration video. Todd Howard stated that now was the right time to unveil the full title. Accompanying text indicated that players' next journey to Tamriel will take place in The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel.

The trailer primarily features an Elder Scroll seemingly buried in sand and concludes with a mysterious quote. The quote is attributed to Yazar, a Moth Priest serving Queen Iradne of Hammerfell, explicitly mentioning Hammerfell and aligning with existing rumors that the game is set there. However, the trailer does not officially confirm the broader region or gameplay details.

Bethesda thanked players for their support over the past forty years, stating that development on The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel is ongoing. While it will be some time before more information is released, the team is thrilled to finally reveal the game's title and setting.

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma later posted to congratulate Bethesda, calling "Sentinel" the next chapter in The Elder Scrolls series and an important way for the team to commemorate their 40 years of world-building. Currently, the game's development progress, gameplay format, platforms, and release date have not been announced.
