As the release date for GTA 6 approaches, players need to start clearing hard drive space for this behemoth. According to current pre-load information, the digital version of GTA 6 is approximately 212GB in size and is expected to open for pre-loading on November 10, nine days before the official launch.
GTA 6 will launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19. Based on the file size of 212GB, players should plan their download schedule in advance according to their internet speed.
If your download speed is 10Mbps, it will take approximately 47 hours and 7 minutes to complete the download; at 25Mbps, it takes 18 hours and 51 minutes; at 50Mbps, 9 hours and 25 minutes; and at 100Mbps, 4 hours and 43 minutes. For players with a 500Mbps connection, the download time can be reduced to about 57 minutes, while a 1Gbps connection requires only about 28 minutes.
Depending on your internet speed, here is how long it will take to download GTA 6...
47 hours 7 minutes (10 Mbps)
18 hours 51 minutes (25 Mbps)
9 hours 25 minutes (50 Mbps)
4 hours 43 minutes (100 Mbps)

However, the above download times are theoretical estimates; actual durations will be affected by factors such as server load, network fluctuations, and platform download limits.
With the official release of GTA 6 just around the corner, players should not only confirm their internet connection but also check their console's remaining storage space in advance to ensure they can smoothly download this open-world masterpiece exceeding 200GB.
