Fogbound Hunter: General Gameplay and Features of the Seer Class

The Seer class in "Fogbound Hunter" is a very fun support class in the game. This class has many distinctive features. First, the Seer is the only class capable of healing teammates, which is why most group players consider it an almost mandatory part of a three-person team; in reality, it is two classes under one name.

How to Play the Seer Class in Fogbound Hunter

The Seer is the only class capable of healing teammates, which is why most group players consider it an almost mandatory part of a three-person team; in reality, it is two classes under one name. The Medium has 13 equippable skills, revolving around runes, shields, and support—starting with Punishment Rune, Burst Rune, Wind Pressure Charge, Healing Spell, and Psionic Shield at level 1, followed by Healing Rune and Shelter Rune at level 3, up to Concealment Rune at level 10. The Mace has only 9 skills, focusing on close-quarters combat, starting with Shapeshift, Thorn Sigil, Rune: Drain, and Rune: Corruption.

These two halves correspond to the Oathbound and Blasphemy vows, with the switching option located in the skill panel—a feature many players have never found. This division is deep enough to change a public stat: the maximum dodge value for a Blasphemy Seer is 350, while for an Oathbound Seer it is 250. The developers have explicitly stated that the Mace and Medium belong to different talent branches and cannot be used simultaneously in the same run, so this is a true fork in the road, not just a stance switch. The common community practice is to pair Blasphemy with the Mace for solo play, and Oathbound with the Medium for group play.

Two details can save new Seers a lot of confusion. The shields from Oathbound do not stack; layering shields on the same target is just a waste of casting. The only mutually exclusive skill pairs in the entire game are also found on the Seer: Healing Rune cannot be equipped simultaneously with Shelter Rune, and Healing Spell cannot be equipped simultaneously with Psionic Shield. These two restrictions, along with the unlock level for each skill, are visible before you allocate points.
