Smarter, more strategic season planning Season planning in Pro Cycling Manager 26 has been completely overhauled to deliver a deeper, more immersive experience with greater control. You can now build your team’s hierarchy, assign roles to each rider, and group them by specialty or all-around abilities to maximize the squad’s potential. Every race on the calendar is now categorized into four priority levels, helping you identify key targets and allocate your strongest assets wisely. Once your goals are set, you can create individualized race schedules for all riders, ensuring balanced competitiveness from the spring opener to the year-end finale. At the start of the season, the system automatically generates a plan that you can fine-tune based on your objectives and available resources. For a more realistic and challenging experience, AI teams are also equipped with this advanced planning tool. Of course, surprises can still happen. Mid-season injuries, illnesses, or slumps may force you to lower expectations for your leaders and reshuffle your riders’ schedules. The most realistic race-day form system yet The revamped race-day form system better reflects real-world competition, introducing two new attributes: “Grand Tour Focus” and “Classics Focus.” A rider’s consistency and daily performance will fluctuate more naturally depending on their strengths and the type of targeted races. Riders focused on Grand Tours will show greater stability in multi-stage events, while those geared toward Classics will be more reliable in one-day races. Meanwhile, some volatile riders may swing between peak and slump forms, mirroring the unpredictability seen in real pro cycling. These traits evolve throughout a rider’s career and are influenced by race scheduling and event types, adding another layer of long-term strategic depth. Efficient and precise simulation The race simulation engine has also been upgraded with a new “Detailed Simulation” mode. Designed for veteran players, it runs on the full 3D race engine (without displaying visuals) to calculate the entire event in the background, delivering highly consistent and realistic results in just seconds. The original system remains available under the name “Instant Results,” giving you flexible options. Depending on the importance of each race, you can choose between the efficiency of “Instant Results” or the realism of “Detailed Simulation.” Greater freedom in Pro Rider mode Start your pro rider career your way: create a new rider modeled after yourself, or take direct control of an existing pro. Choosing a real-world rider lets you begin at a higher level. By assigning initial skill points, you can tailor the rider’s profile to match your personal style.
