The characters in "Meow Battle" are not only adorable, but each possesses unique skills. What are these special abilities? Let's take a look at them one by one.
First to appear are Stick Jack, Xiao Fu, Xiao Ban, and Ah Dai. If you're not particularly interested in deep lineup strategies, these four self-sufficient cats are perfect for you. Their mechanics are simple and require no complex thinking. For easier levels, just let your mind go blank while these four handle the fighting. Simply stacking their numbers will be enough to defeat the opposition.
The next five cats to join the fray are clearly front-line tanks, as indicated by their high HP stats. Whether you choose Fat Cat with its AoE attacks, Big Orange who recovers by eating fish when near death, Garfield who can block any damage three times with a wooden shield, White who can push back enemies and create a damage-reducing shield for teammates in the front row, or Big Slime Cat who drops a clone upon death, depends entirely on your understanding of the battle situation.
Next is the archer lineup, whose role is to attack from a distance. On the left, A-Qiang and Solo are relatively straightforward, launching simple yet effective attacks against enemies. Of course, Solo's damage can penetrate multiple targets, doubling efficiency. On the right, Wuji and Hunter attach certain effects to their attacks, allowing enemies to experience the "joy" of being immobilized.
Next up are the ninja cats Shosuke and Akagoro. From their appearance and descriptions, we know they love to blink around the battlefield. The former enjoys teleporting through enemies to strike directly at the backline, while the latter uses a swift flash to eliminate cats before they even realize what hit them.
Then there are the two special cats, Jimmy and Cook. Why are they special? Because almost all other characters have no base critical hit rate, whereas Jimmy comes with a 50% base crit rate and crit damage. With additional equipment bonuses outside of battle, he can break through the limits and become the legendary "one-hit 999" kitty.
And then there's Cook, true to his name—a cat who cooks. In this card game where energy is required to deploy units, sunflower-like producers are essential, and Cook excels at "cooking." Players only need to find him in hidden levels during the early game to have him join the battle.
If you're wondering whether there are cats that use underhanded tactics to defeat opponents, the answer is yes. Batty, the bat-cat, restores health with every bite; Zombie Sean's bites poison enemies; and as for Rage Tyrant, unless enemy units keep their HP permanently above the execution threshold, they will be instantly devoured.
Finally, there are three cats whose roles are best understood through experience rather than words, as they can fit into any lineup. Morris, the mage, serves both as a damage dealer and a protector. Bob is the nightmare of melee cats; his description is simple—"Flamethrower, continuous damage"—but once on the battlefield, you'll see just how efficient that continuous damage really is. As for the last cat, you don't need to remember its name, since it's solely dedicated to destroying the enemy base, with "victory" being its inherent meaning.
Of course, the above are just the units unlockable in the early game. There are more interesting cats to be unlocked later, all of which will become available upon the official release!
