Fengsha: Guide to Troop Combat Deployment

Unit battle deployment is crucial in "Fengsha." To engage in combat, you first need to select your units. Unit selection can be done in two ways: direct selection and panel selection. Left-click or click-and-drag with the left mouse button to select your units on the map. You can also select a unit by clicking its unit type icon above it.

How to Fight Battles with Units in Fengsha

Now that you have a unit, we will explain unit controls and panel functions to help you defend against enemies or launch attacks. "Fengsha" uses a unit-based control system, where each unit consists of up to 100 soldiers, and all actions are executed at the unit level.

1. Basic Controls -- Selection

Unit selection can be done in two ways: direct selection and panel selection.

Left-click or click-and-drag with the left mouse button to select your units on the map. You can also select a unit by clicking its unit type icon above it.

You can also select units from the unit card panel below. Left-click to select a single unit, hold Ctrl + Left-click to select multiple units, and hold Shift + Left-click to select all units between the leftmost and rightmost clicked units.

Once selected, you can perform any operation on the unit.

If you select a unit via its card but cannot locate it, double-click the card to jump the camera to the unit's position.

After selecting multiple units, you can assign them to a group using Ctrl + Number. Grouped units can be quickly selected by pressing the corresponding number key, allowing for rapid switching of control.

2. Basic Controls -- Movement and Attack

After selecting a unit, right-click to command it to move to the clicked location. A marker will appear at the destination for reference.

When you right-click on an enemy with a unit selected, the unit will attack. No movement marker will appear, but an indicator line will be added to help you confirm the unit's target. You can toggle the visibility of indicator lines using the switch button; if there are too many lines, you can choose to hide them.

Indicator lines also help you analyze the battlefield. The arrowhead of a white indicator line points to the current attack target of the selected unit, while the arrowhead of a yellow indicator line points from an enemy attempting to attack the selected unit. A red indicator line means both sides have locked onto each other.

3. Advanced Controls -- Drawing Formations

After selecting a unit, hold and drag the right mouse button to form a formation. The line you draw determines the front rank, generating the corresponding formation. Forming helps adjust your unit's stance; for example, widening the formation increases the number of soldiers actively participating in combat. Different formations can improve combat efficiency and protect key units.
