To commemorate the first anniversary of Ghost of Yōtei, Sony has officially launched Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition, releasing globally on October 1. Pre-orders are now open on the PS5 Store. The new complete edition includes the base game, multiplayer modes, and all previously released Deluxe items, along with two major new content additions.

The new story DLC "Strings of Sekigahara" features a dual narrative, unlocking the new Snake Valley map while revisiting the protagonist's past experiences in the Battle of Sekigahara. It adds new enemies, heavy weapons, exclusive armor, and appearance dyes. The single-player roguelike mode "Endless Pursuit" launches simultaneously, allowing players to take on bounty missions, defeat enemies to unlock various buff modifiers, and unlock multiple playable characters wielding weapons like the kusarigama and spear.
There are two pricing options: the new complete edition is priced at 568 HKD, while existing owners of the base game can purchase the upgrade pack for just 108 HKD to access all DLC content. Pre-ordering before September 30 will unlock the Sakai Clan Armor, a tribute to Ghost of Tsushima.
A free major 2.0 update will be released simultaneously in October. All players can unlock the Mount Yotei scenic screensaver, armor transmogrification, and high-contrast accessibility settings without additional payment. The update also adds Watanabe-style soundtrack, photo mode stickers, New Game+ exclusive cosmetics, and new achievements/trophies. The game retains the four-player online Tales mode, supporting various co-op gameplay styles such as survival, assault, and story missions. It includes the full set of Digital Deluxe items, such as masks, charms, and exclusive horse saddles.
