Japanese Woman Auctions Off Husband's Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards After Infidelity—That’s Harsh!

Recently, a Japanese woman sparked heated online discussion by publicly auctioning off her husband's long-collected Yu-Gi-Oh! cards as "revenge" for his affair.

The woman put up 26 unopened boxes of first-edition Yu-Gi-Oh! cards for auction all at once, and explicitly stated in the item description that she was doing so to retaliate against her husband's infidelity. Even more shockingly, she set the starting bid at just 1 yen, completely disregarding the actual collectible value of these cards.

As the auction progressed, bids soared to 20,503,000 yen. However, Yahoo Auctions subsequently halted the auction for violating platform rules, among other reasons. A key factor was that the items being sold did not belong to the seller.
