NVIDIA has officially announced that it will host a GeForce On community update livestream during Gamescom, bringing the latest news on RTX games and features.
This GeForce On livestream is scheduled for August 25th at 8:00 AM PT / 4:00 PM BST / 5:00 PM CEST. This corresponds to 11:00 PM on August 25th in Beijing time. Viewers can watch the livestream via NVIDIA's official channel.
Although NVIDIA has not explicitly detailed the announcement content, the industry widely expects that the official rollout of DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction technology will be the core focus of this event.
The technology was first unveiled at COMPUTEX 2026 this June, utilizing a second-generation Transformer AI model with a 20% increase in parameters and a 35% boost in computational power. It replaces traditional denoisers with neural rendering, delivering clearer and more stable image quality in ray tracing and path tracing scenarios.
Following its release, DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction will cover the entire RTX 20, 30, 40, and 50 series graphics cards, allowing upgrades without hardware replacement. The RTX 40 and 50 series will offer higher efficiency due to native FP8 precision support; while the RTX 20 and 30 series do not support FP8, the feature remains fully functional, albeit with slightly higher performance overhead.
Regarding game support, NVIDIA previously listed 27 compatible titles, including Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Star Wars Outlaws, Hogwarts Legacy, and DOOM: The Dark Ages. Notably, files related to DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction have been discovered in the beta version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which recently entered testing.
